This Privacy Policy describes how ai-khwarizmi ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "Service").

1. Permissions We Request

We request the minimum permissions necessary to function:

• Internet: Required to connect to our analysis servers and Google/Apple authentication services.
• Media/Storage: Required only if you choose to upload a photo, video, or document for analysis. We do not access your library without your explicit action.

2. Data Collection & Usage

We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the Service:

• User ID (Google/Apple Auth): Used to identify your account and sync your subscription plan. We do not store your name, phone number, or any additional profile data.
• Subscription Status: We store your plan type (free, basic, or pro) and scan usage count. No scan content, search history, or results are ever stored.
• Uploaded Content: When you start a scan, your file or URL is processed in memory and automatically deleted upon completion. It is never written to a permanent database.
• Cloud Function Activity Logs: Our backend generates operational logs (e.g. function execution status, error codes) for reliability monitoring. These logs do not contain your uploaded content or search queries, and are automatically deleted after 30 days by Google Cloud.

3. Data Retention

On Our Servers: Uploaded content is processed immediately and automatically deleted upon completion. A secondary cleanup runs every 24 hours as a safety net. Content is never retained beyond 24 hours under any circumstances.

Third-Party Providers: Content sent to our AI and Search partners for analysis is processed transiently according to their respective privacy policies and data retention schedules. We do not use your private uploads to train public AI models.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
You can immediately delete your account and all data without waiting:

1. Open the AI-Khwarizmi app.
2. Go to Profile > Account.
3. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Option 2: Web Request (If app is uninstalled)
If you cannot access the app, you may request deletion by email:

1. Email contheft.app@gmail.com with the subject "Delete Account".
2. Include your registered email address in the body.

We will manually process these requests within 30 days.

Data Deletion Scope

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Personal Info: Email address, User ID, and authentication credentials.
• App Activity: Your plan type and scan usage count.
• Uploaded Content: Any files uploaded for analysis are deleted within 24 hours regardless of account status. Account deletion removes your account record immediately.

Data Retention Policy: We do not retain any user data after account deletion. Subscription records held by Google Play (for refund purposes) are subject to Google's own data retention policies.

5. Subscription Cancellation (Important)

Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does NOT automatically cancel your subscription.

Because your subscription is managed directly by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android), we cannot cancel it for you. You must manually cancel it to stop future billing.

How to Cancel

• Android: Open Google Play > Tap Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > Select AI-Khwarizmi > Cancel.
• iOS: Open Settings > Tap your Name > Subscriptions > Select AI-Khwarizmi > Cancel Subscription.

6. Third-Party Services & AI Sub-Processors

We use trusted third-party services to operate and perform analysis. Your data is processed by:

• Google Firebase: For secure authentication, database hosting, and cloud functions.
• RevenueCat: For managing subscription entitlements and billing status.
• Google Play & Apple App Store: We do not store or process your credit card or payment information. All financial transactions are handled securely and directly by Google and Apple.
• Enterprise AI Service Providers: For performing high-precision content analysis and detection.
• Search & Indexing Technology Providers: To cross-reference content against public internet databases.

Note: All third-party subprocessors are vetted to ensure they adhere to strict data security standards and GDPR compliance.

7. GDPR & Users Rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Correct any inaccurate data.
• Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): Permanently delete your account and data via the app settings.
• Portability: Request your data in a structured format.

To exercise these rights, simply use the "Delete Account" feature in the app or contact us.
